Water's Edge Hydrology provides a full range of consulting services to
assess and characterize water pollution problems and develop natural
system designs for water treatment, pollution control, and restoration
projects. Our primary services include:

Many of our projects represent potential new applications of natural system designs to address unique water quality problems, new wastewater discharges, and more stringent effluent criteria. To respond to these needs, we are actively involved in the development of design tools and new system designs for site-specific applications. To evaluate new technologies and develop design criteria we also provide project related bench-scale laboratory studies, field pilot programs, and demonstration projects.

Some of our recent work in technology development includes:
- The PERT (Phased Element Removal Technology) constructed wetland treatment system design process
- The PT2 (Passive Treatment Tool) constructed wetland treatment system design program for utility wastewaters
- The WRAM (Watershed Restoration Assessment Model) for mine drainage treatment
- New low-cost Stream Buffering Designs to restore native trout habitats impacted by acid rain.
- Use of Natural Channel Designs for floodplain re-attachment and stormwater bio-retention.
- Vertical Flow Wetlands for Electric Utility Flue Gas Desulfurization (FGD) wastewaters
